Your questions. Answered…
I know booking a photoshoot can bring up a few little questions, from what to wear to whether your children will sit still for more than a minute (spoiler: they don’t need to!).
Every family is different, and it’s totally normal to wonder how it all works.
Here are a few quick answers to help you feel ready, relaxed and excited for your session.
-
We live in Cornwall… so let’s be honest, it happens! A little drizzle can actually add magic, those moody skies and cosy coats tell a story too. But if it’s really miserable, we’ll chat lots before the session and decide together when we should make a call to reschedule for a brighter day. Your comfort (and your little ones’) always comes first.

Please don’t stress- honestly, I never expect “perfect” behaviour (I’m a Mother too so I have the same worries!). My sessions are relaxed and play-based, with plenty of space for curiosity, cuddles and giggles. The best photos always come from those natural, in-between moments when everyone’s just being themselves.

Soft, earthy tones photograph beautifully; think linen, chunky knits, and simple textures that move and flow. Once you’ve booked, I’ll send you a full styling guide and you’ll have access to my client wardrobe, filled with beautiful dresses and children’s pieces to help your whole family look and feel your best.

You’re not alone! Most people tell me this before their session. My approach is calm and easy-going. I’ll gently guide you but never ask for forced poses or smiles. We’ll chat, move, laugh, and before long, you’ll forget the camera’s even there. My focus is always on connection, not perfection.

I’m based in mid-Cornwall, close to Newquay and Bodmin. I photograph families across the county, whether on the beach, moors, woods and home sessions too. If you’ve got a special location in mind a little further away, just mention it when you enquire and we’ll see what’s possible.

A few weeks after your session, you’ll receive a private online gallery filled with hand-edited images that tell your story. You’ll choose your favourites based on your package (or upgrade if you fall in love with them all!). You can also order professional prints and wall art to keep your memories tangible and timeless.
-
Yes! Your final gallery comes with easy download links for your chosen images. You’re free to print and share them however you like, but I also offer professional-grade printing for the best colour, texture and longevity.

I usually book a few months in advance, especially for golden hour evenings and weekends.
For maternity and newborn, ideally we’ll start planning from the date of your scan to allow us plenty of time. Your maternity session will take place between 32-36 weeks and newborn session usually within the first 10 days new.
The sooner you get in touch, the more likely we can find the perfect date for you.

Yes! Sessions make such meaningful gifts. You can choose the session to gift, perfect for birthdays, baby showers or just because surprises.
I’ll package the voucher in a gift worthy package and send to you or directly to the recipient.

If you’ve loved your experience (which I so hope you do!), I’d be so grateful for a review on Google or a little share on Instagram. Your words mean the world and they help other families find me too.
Once you get in touch, I’ll send over my full client guide, its everything you need to know about your session, from what to wear to how to prepare and what happens afterwards. It’s all designed to make the whole process simple, relaxed and completely you.
And if there’s something I haven’t covered here, just reach out, I’m always happy to chat things through.
