Your family photographer in Cornwall

Hey, I’m Georgie.

Heres a little bit about little old me!

I have a soft spot for tea, 80’s music, and ‘just one more chapter’ before bed.

Mum to Ben, Kyra, and little Henry. Wife to Luke; stepmum to Jaydn. And beach-walkies-sidekick to Elsie the scruffy old pooch.

I’m a Cornwall girl through-and-through. Our afternoons are spent looking for shells, and flipping for crabs; evenings with Elsie bounding into the sea (I’ve permanently given up on hoovering my car- it’s a real-life sandpit!)

My mum is 1 of 7, so our family is absolutely HUGE! I grew up on a farm here in Cornwall and it was always. a full house! Some of my favourite memories are of Christmas growing up they were always held together by my Nan, our Christmases were big, and wonderfully chaotic. Like Home Alone, without the negligence, or the booby-traps!

I’ve always been a bit of a chatterbox. I worked in an opticians for 21 years before this- making “who said that?” jokes, and meeting someone new every 20 minutes.

And one of the reasons I love this job so much as a family photographer in Cornwall, is getting to meet new people, and new families, every day. I get to know them as humans, not just clients. And with the beauty of Cornwall as an unpaid extra, I get invited to be a part of their story.

FAMILY

NEWBORN

We birth *actual humans*, and blame our bodies for not bouncing back. We throw on a baggy jumper and hide behind the camera, hoping to sneak through the years unseen.

But none of that matters to them. They don’t care if your hair’s a mess. You’re the arms they run into, the face they look for, the person they can’t wait to tell.

You're not less, mama. You’re more. You’ve just given a part of yourself to them.

And more than anything, that’s what I want to capture…

You, the way they see you. How you smile with your whole face as you look at them; how they sink into your arms like home.

Carefully crafting photos you’ll always love. Because they’re rich, intimate, and honest. And because they make you feel loved.

The Mothers story- Thats my ‘why’

We’re our own harshest critics, aren’t we? As mums, we can be so mean to ourselves!
